A census survey to profile the Allied Health practitioners was carried out in 2006. The profiling of Allied Health practitioners is primarily intended to support policy development in relation to manpower planning, development and regulation in the allied health professions.

1,637 Allied Health practitioners responded to the Census, which is estimated to have covered at least 78% of the population of the Allied Health professionals in Singapore.
