A scientific meeting to launch the guidelines was organized by the Dementia CPG workgroup and the Ministry of Health, on 12 May 2007. You can download copies of the slides and recordings of the speeches by clicking on the following links:

· Dr Chong Mai Sian - Welcome and introduction.

· Prof Kua Ee Heok - Screening and assessment of dementia.

· Dr Lim Wee Shiong - Pharmacological management of dementia.

· Dr Francis Ngui - Management of behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia.

· Dr Philip Yap - Caregiving and psychosocial factors in dementia.

· Dr Chin Jing Jih - Ethical issues in dementia.

· Dr Tan Kok Leong - Role of GP in diagnosis and follow-up of dementia patients.

Note:

You will require Winzip to extract the files before you can view and listen to the slides. If you do not have the software, you can download the Winzip program here.

You will need to extract both the audio and powerpoint slide files into the same folder before viewing the slide show in order to listen to the speeches while viewing the slides.This step-by-step guide shows you how to extract and play the files correctly.

Alternatively, you can listen to the audio recording of the speeches on your MP3 player or other portable audio devices.
