Biosafety Sharing: Findings of the US-CDC Laboratory Safety Survey


A laboratory safety culture survey was conducted at the US-CDC, in response to the series of recent laboratory incidents. The survey has identified the following important aspects for laboratory safety and security:
1. Leadership commitment;
2. Culture of shared responsibility and accountability;
3. Proper risk assessment on all work involving pathogenic organisms and biological toxins;
4. Laboratory safety training.
