Use of WHO Approved Yellow Fever Vaccines

Under the Infectious Diseases (Certificates of Vaccination or Other Prophylaxis) Regulations 2008 which came into effect from 1 December 2008, all licensees of Travel Clinics and Yellow Fever Vaccination Centres must ensure that only yellow fever vaccines which have been approved by the World Health Organization (WHO) are administered to the patients.

This is in line with the International Health Regulations 2005 issued by the WHO. The only yellow fever vaccine currently approved for use in Singapore is Stamaril, manufactured by Sanofi Pasteur S. A. France, which is a WHO-approved yellow fever vaccine manufacturer.
