Advance Medical Directive Act

The Advance Medical Directive (AMD) Act allows Singaporeans to make an Advance Medical Directive (AMD). An AMD is a legal document that you sign in advance to inform the doctor treating you (in the event you become terminally ill and unconscious) that you do not want any extraordinary life-sustaining treatment used to prolong your life. Making an AMD is a voluntary decision. It is entirely up to you whether you wish to make an AMD.

Human Cloning and Other Prohibited Practices Act

The Human Cloning and Other Prohibited Practices Act, bans reproductive human cloning research activities in Singapore. The Acts also prevents collaboration with overseas parties in unethical human cloning research activities, repugnant experimentations, and the commercial trading of eggs, sperm or embryos.

Human Organ Transplant Act

The Human Organ Transplant Act (HOTA) allows for the kidneys, heart, liver and corneas to be removed in the event of death from any cause for the purpose of transplantation
