1. For the smartphone newbie
Course: Learn to use an Android phone effectively
Feeling overwhelmed by the plethora of smartphone applications? Don’t worry, you are not alone. This course will help you to overcome your fear, step-by-step. With some practice, you’ll easily pick up the tricks to navigate through your phone’s functions by performing simple touch gestures like swiping, pinching and tapping on the screen. More importantly, you’ll learn how to make free local and international calls to your loved ones using WhatsApp. You’ll also find out how to install and uninstall apps, use various digital payment apps and get nifty tips to take photos and videos!

2. For the foodie
Course: Healthy diet for healthy ageing
We all know eating is a national pastime. But eating right, especially when you are older, is important. The right diet can help prevent or reduce risks of diseases such as diabetes, heart diseases and osteoporosis. So, start taking control of your diet by learning about your body’s nutritional needs and learn how you can plan healthy and delicious meals.

This one-day training programme will help you learn skills such as bed bathing, safe lifting and tube feeding. You will also learn how to communicate with the elderly and ensure you maintain your emotional and physical well-being as a caregiver.
