The National Health Surveillance Survey (NHSS) is part of the Ministry of Health's ongoing surveillance of non-communicable diseases and its risk factors in Singapore. The main objectives were to monitor the health status of the population in the areas of behavioural risk factors such as smoking and physical inactivity, and health and disease conditions such as diabetes mellitus as well as preventive health behaviour such as practice of health screening.
The survey is conducted once in every 6 years.
