Subsidies for Genetic Tests

This list comprises genetic tests assessed to be clinically and cost-effective. Individuals who have tested positive for a target gene referred through approved clinical pathways may be subsequently recommended for follow-up downstream interventions.

Individuals with low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) ≥ 5.5 mmol/L (≥ 212 mg/dL).

Individuals are eligible for subsidy once per lifetime.

LDLR, PCSK9, APOB

First-degree[2] biological relatives of an individual who carries a pathogenic / likely pathogenic variant for Familial Hypercholesterolaemia.

Individuals are eligible for subsidy once per variant.
