25 more cases[i] of COVID-19 infection have been discharged from hospitals or community isolation facilities. In all, 611 have fully recovered from the infection and have been discharged from hospitals or community isolation facilities.
2. As of 14 April 2020, 12pm, the Ministry of Health (MOH) has confirmed and verified an additional 334 cases of COVID-19 infection in Singapore. The breakdown is as follows:
b) Linked to known clusters: 198, of which the vast majority are Work Permit holders in the dormitories
c) Linked to other cases: 22, of which 10 are Singapore Citizens/Permanent Residents and twelve are Work Permit holders
d) Pending contact tracing: 114, of which 24 are Singapore Citizens/Permanent Residents, 85 are Work Permit holders, three are S Pass holders, one is Employment Pass holder and one is Dependant’s Pass holder.
3. Contact tracing and investigation are underway for currently unlinked cases to establish any links to known clusters or previous cases. In the past week (7 April to 13 April), MOH has uncovered links for 342 previously unlinked cases.
4. Further epidemiological investigations and contact tracing have uncovered links between previously announced and new cases. A summary of all the confirmed cases are in the Annex.
a) One of the confirmed cases is linked to 10 previous cases[1], forming a new cluster at PPT Lodge 1A (8 Seletar North Link).
b) 132 additional cases are linked to the cluster at S11 Dormitory @ Punggol (2 Seletar North Link), which has a total of 718 confirmed cases[2] now.
c) Four additional cases are linked to the cluster at Westlite Toh Guan dormitory (18 Toh Guan Road East), which has a total of 88 confirmed cases[3] now.
d) Six additional cases are linked to the cluster at Toh Guan Dormitory (19A Toh Guan Road East), which has a total of 73 confirmed cases[4] now.
e) 32 additional cases are linked to the cluster at Sungei Tengah Lodge (500 Old Choa Chu Kang Road), which has a total of 188 confirmed cases[5] now.
f) Two additional cases are linked to the cluster at Tampines Dormitory (2 Tampines Place), which has a total of 55 cases[6] now.
g) Three additional cases are linked to the cluster at Cochrane Lodge I (51 Admiralty Road West), which has a total of 42 confirmed cases[7] now.
h) 10 additional cases are linked to the cluster at Cochrane Lodge II (49 Admiralty Road West), which has a total of 35 confirmed cases[8] now.
i) One additional case is linked to the cluster at Shaw Lodge (12 Shaw Road), which has a total of 17 confirmed cases[9]now.
j) Two additional cases are linked to the cluster at Cassia @ Penjuru (15 Penjuru Walk), which has a total of 16 confirmed cases[10] now.
k) One additional case is linked to the cluster at North Coast Lodge (51 North Coast Avenue), which has a total of 10 cases[11] now.
l) One additional case is linked to the cluster at Acacia Lodge (530-540 Bukit Batok Street 23), which has a total of 30 confirmed cases[12] now.
m) Four additional cases are linked to the cluster at Tuas View Dormitory (70 Tuas South Avenue 1), which has a total of 16 confirmed cases[13] now.
n) Two additional cases are linked to the cluster at Kranji Lodge (12 Kranji Road), which has a total of 12 confirmed cases[14]now.
o) Two additional cases are linked to the cluster at Tech Park Crescent dormitory (43 Tech Park Crescent), which has a total of 11 confirmed cases[15] now.
p) One additional case is linked to the cluster at Kranji Dormitory (17 Kranji Way), which has a total of seven confirmed cases[16] now.
q) One additional case is linked to the cluster at 36 Woodlands Industrial Park E1, which has a total of 26 cases[17] now.
r) One additional case is are linked to the cluster at 31 Sungei Kadut Avenue, which has a total of 11 cases[18] now.
s) One additional case is linked to the cluster at 21B Senoko Loop, which has a total uof six cases[19] now.
t) One additional case is linked to the cluster at 13 Senoko Way, which has a total of two cases[20] now.
u) 13 additional cases are linked to the cluster at a construction site at Project Glory (50 Market Street), which has a total of 62 confirmed cases[21] now.
v) Two additional cases are linked to the cluster at the renovation sites at the National University Hospital (5 Lower Kent Ridge Road), which has a total of 25 confirmed cases[22] now.
w) One additional case is linked to the cluster at the Kenyon/ UBS construction site (9 Penang Road), which has a total of 12 cases[23] now.
x) Three additional cases are linked to the cluster at Mustafa Centre (145 Syed Alwi Road), which has a total of 86 confirmed cases[24] now.
y) One additional case is linked to the cluster at ABC Hostel (3 Jalan Kubor), which has a total of eight confirmed cases[25] now.
6. Case 2738 is a 22 year-old female Singapore Citizen who has no recent travel history to affected countries or regions. She reported onset of symptoms on 12 April, and subsequent test results confirmed COVID-19 infection on 13 April. She is currently warded at the Khoo Teck Puat Hospital (KTPH). She is a family member of Cases 2419 and 2739.
7. She is employed as a nurse at Singapore General Hospital but had not gone to work since onset of symptoms.
8. Case 3014 is a 41 year-old male Singapore Citizen who has no recent travel history to affected countries or regions. He reported onset of symptoms on 9 April, and subsequent test results confirmed COVID-19 infection on 13 April. He is currently warded in an isolation room at the National Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCID).
9. He is employed as a doctor at Tan Tock Seng Hospital but had not gone to work since onset of symptoms.
10. Case 128, a 70 year-old male Singapore Citizen, has passed away from complications due to COVID-19 infection on 14 April 2020. He was confirmed to have COVID-19 infection on 6 March. NCID has reached out to his family and is extending assistance to them.
11. To date, a total of 611 cases have fully recovered from the infection and have been discharged from hospitals or community isolation facilities.
12. Of the 1,315 confirmed cases who are still in hospital, most are stable or improving. 28 are in critical condition in the intensive care unit. 1,316 cases who are clinically well but still test positive for COVID-19 are isolated and cared for at community facilities. 10 have passed away from complications due to COVID-19 infection.
13. Contact tracing for the confirmed cases is ongoing. Once identified, MOH will closely monitor all close contacts. As a precautionary measure, they will be quarantined for 14 days from their last exposure to the patient. In addition, all other identified contacts who have a low risk of being infected will be under active surveillance, and will be contacted daily to monitor their health status.
14. As of 14 April 2020, 12pm, MOH has identified 30,646 close contacts who have been quarantined. Of these, 12,797 are currently quarantined, and 17,849 have completed their quarantine.
