To ask the Minister for Health (a) to date, what is the total amount of Quarantine Order Allowance that has been distributed to affected persons; and (b) what is the average waiting time for the allowance payout.
Answer
1. To date, S$16.2 million has been distributed to eligible applicants under the Quarantine Order Allowance (QOA) Scheme. Typically, payouts are made to successful applicants within three months of submitting the QOA application. There has been a recent surge in QOA applications over the past two months, and MOH is working to expedite processing of these cases.
