1. Singapore has confirmed another 16 new cases (127th to 142nd cases) of Influenza A (H1N1-2009), comprising seven local cases and nine cases with travel history. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in Singapore to 142.
A) LOCAL CASES
2. Among the seven new local cases include two additional cases from the Riverlife Church cluster, one new cluster linked to Butter Factory at One Fullerton, one case who had contact with an earlier confirmed case, and three unlinked cases who did not have any travel history or known contact with confirmed cases.
(i) Cluster 1: 7 cases linked to the Riverlife Church (6 cases in this cluster attended the function at the Church on 13 June or/and 14 June, while one case is a contact of a confirmed case who attended the function)
3. The 130th case is a 20-year-old Singaporean female student. On 13 June afternoon, she attended a function at the Riverlife Church. On 17 June, she developed a running nose in the morning while she was at home. On 18 June afternoon, she went out for wakeboarding. On 19 June, she developed sore throat and sought medical attention at a GP clinic on 19 June evening. She was prescribed medication and advised to monitor her temperature. On 20 June morning, she developed a fever and went back to the same GP. She was conveyed to CDC by a 993 ambulance. At CDC ED, swabs were taken from her. She was prescribed medication and was discharged from CDC ED and sent home by an ambulance. She was admitted to CDC via a 993 ambulance after she was tested positive for influenza A (H1N1-2009).
4. The 127th case is a 12-year-old Singaporean boy who resides in Australia. He and his mother arrived in Singapore on 30 May for a family visit and stayed with his aunt's family, including his cousin the 115th case (from the Riverlife Church cluster reported yesterday). On 19 June afternoon, he developed symptoms. On 20 June morning, his uncle (father of the 115th case) drove all family members to CDC for screening after the 115th case was found to be positive for Influenza A (H1N1-2009). The 127th case tested positive and was later conveyed to KKH via a 993 ambulance.
(ii) New Cluster 3: One case with possible linkage to Butter Factory at One Fullerton
5. The 140th case is a 19-year-old Singaporean female student. On 17 June night, she went out to Butter Factory at One Fullerton, where the 96th, 117th and 118th cases were also at. On 19 June late evening, she developed symptoms while she was out shopping. On 20 June morning, she proceeded to NUH for follow-up for an unrelated medical condition. Swabs were taken from her for testing. On 21 June morning, she was admitted to NUH after her test indicated positive for influenza A (H1N1-2009).
6. MOH advises that patrons of Butter Factory at One Fullerton who visited the nightspot on 17 June to monitor their health closely. They are advised to seek medical attention if they should begin to feel unwell.
(iii) One local case who is a contact of a confirmed case
7. The 133rd case is a 22-year-old Malaysian man, who is a colleague of the 121st case (who was reported as an unlinked case on 20 June). On 19 June morning, he developed symptoms while he was in office and took a taxi to CDC. He was admitted to CDC at night after testing positive for Influenza A (H1N1-2009).
(iv) Three unlinked cases with no travel history and no known contact with confirmed cases
8. The 131st case is a 39-year-old Singaporean man. On 19 June morning when he was on leave from work, he developed symptoms. He went out to have lunch with his wife and returned home. He stayed at home for the rest of the day. On 20 June, he called his GP who advised him to call a 993 ambulance. He was conveyed to CDC ED around noon and admitted at night after testing positive for Influenza A (H1N1-2009).
9. The 136th case is a 22-year-old Singaporean female student. She participated in a church camp at Prince George's Park from 15 to 18 June. On 18 June morning, she developed a fever and was driven home by her father after the camp ended in the afternoon. She stayed at home the whole day on 19 June. On 20 June evening, her father drove her to NUH EMD. She tested positive for influenza A (H1N1-2009) and was admitted in NUH in early hours of 21 June.
10. The 141st case is a 21-year-old Singaporean national serviceman based at the Clementi Police Station. On 19 June morning, he developed a fever while on duty. He was not in contact with members of public at the police station. On 20 June morning, he sought medical attention at NUH ED. Swabs were taken from him and he was discharged from ED after treatment. On 21 June morning, he was conveyed to NUH via a 993 ambulance after his test indicated positive for Influenza A (H1N1-2009).
B) IMPORTED CASES
There are nine cases with history of travel
11. The 134th case is a 14-year-old Singaporean female student who is the elder sister of the 114th case. She and the 114th case had travelled to Indonesia (Bandung and Punchak) on 7 June for a family holiday, and had returned to Singapore on 11 June. The family returned home from the airport in a private van. From 12 to 15 June, she stayed at home, and developed symptoms on 13 June. She was conveyed to NUH on 19 June night after the 114th case was tested positive for Influenza A (H1N1-2009). The other travellers did not have any links to earlier cases.
12. The nationalities of the nine imported cases are:

2 Singapore PRs (1 from Malaysia and 1 from Philippines)
4 foreigners (1 Filipino, 1 Malaysian, 1 Australian and 1 from Indonesia)

14. Contact tracing is ongoing for all new cases, and information will be provided on MOH website (www.moh.gov.sg).

*121 cases were imported while there were 2 clusters with no travel history (7 in the Riverlife Church cluster, and 1 case with possible linkage to the 3 in the NUS cluster), 7 unlinked cases, and another 3 were close contacts of confirmed cases.
# The 68th case is a 33-year-old Singaporean woman who went for a holiday in Europe from 28 May to 17 June. She was on a cruise from 4 June to 16 June. She developed symptoms while on the cruise. She was treated on the ship and returned to Singapore on 17 June.
16. So far, 47 patients have been discharged. The remaining 95 patients (28th, 34th, 37th, 41st, 43rd - 48th, 51st - 55th, 62nd - 68th, 70th - 142nd cases) are still in the hospital and their conditions remain stable.
