To ask the Minister for Health what are the anticipated respective budgets required for each of the next five years to accommodate the expansion of the Seniors’ Mobility & Enabling Fund and the Assistive Technology Fund as announced in January 2022.
Written Answer
The estimated average additional annual budget required for the Seniors’ Mobility & Enabling Fund (SMF) expansion is $49 million over the next five years, compared to the average annual utilisation of around $27 million over the previous five years. For the Assistive Technology Fund (ATF), estimated annual budget over the next five years is $7 million, compared to the average annual utilisation of $4 million in the previous five years.
