To ask the Coordinating Minister for Social Policies and Minister for Health for new referrals to the Community Intervention Team (COMIT) in 2024 and 2025 (a) what is the breakdown by employment status (i) employed (ii) unemployed and (iii) studying or in-training, and age groups (i) 18 to 25 (ii) 26 to 35 (iii) 36 to 50 (iv) 51 to 64 and (v) 65 and above; and (b) what proportion of current COMIT clients have had a psychiatric admission within the preceding 24 months.
Answer
The breakdown of new referrals to the Community Intervention Team (COMIT) in 2024 and 2025 by age group and employment status is shown in Table 1. MOH does not collect data on whether COMIT clients are studying or in-training, nor whether clients have had a psychiatric admission before receiving COMIT’s intervention.
