Question No. 5458
To ask the Minister for Health (a) whether the Ministry has data on the current number of organisations in Singapore that have programmes and benefits for female workers who are experiencing menopause-related health issues; and (b) what form do the majority of these programmes and benefits take.
Answer
1 The Ministry of Health (MOH) does not have specific data on the current number of organisations in Singapore that have programmes and benefits for female workers who are experiencing menopause-related health issues.
2 Nonetheless, there are several sources of support for women undergoing menopause, such as public educational resources available on HealthHub and public healthcare institutions’ webpages. Additionally, interest groups such as “Dynamic Daisies” under KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital, promote awareness of general women’s health and support for women undergoing menopause transitions.
3 Women may also seek medical advice from their regular family doctor or gynaecologist to manage their menopause-related health issues.
