Hospitalisation
If you are a Singaporean, you can get subsidies from 65% to 80% at our public hospitals by choosing a Class C ward. If you choose a Class B2 ward, you will enjoy subsidies between 50% to 65%.
Table caption
Hospital inpatient | Subsidy |
---|---|
Class A (own room, air-con, TV) | 0% |
Class B1 (4 beds, air-con, TV) | 20% |
Class B2 (6 beds) | 65% - 50% |
Class C (8 - 10 beds) | 80% - 65% |
Your subsidy received will depend on your ward choice, and your monthly income. If your own monthly income is less than $3,200, you will enjoy the maximum hospitalisation subsidies.
Tiering our subsidies by ward class and income allows Government to help the lower and middle income more with their medical bills.
You will get the same good quality medical care, no matter which ward class you choose.
Day Surgery
You can also enjoy subsidies of up to 65% for day surgeries, if you opt for subsidised treatment.
