Humanitarian Assistance from the People's Republic of China to Combat COVID-19

Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Health and Ministry of Transport, Dr Lam Pin Min received a donation of masks from Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China Hong Xiaoyong at the Ministry of Health today.
2. The government of the People’s Republic of China has contributed 500,000 surgical masks and 100,000 KN95 masks to Singapore’s national stockpile to assist the Singapore Government’s efforts to manage COVID-19.
3. Dr Lam expressed appreciation for China’s donation, and highlighted the importance of continued mutual assistance and collaboration between Singapore and China amidst the COVID-19 outbreak. Singapore looks forward to working closely with China to further bilateral relations as we mark the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations this year.
4. The successful containment of COVID-19 will require all parties to cooperate and work together. Singapore stands in solidarity with the region and the global community in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
