Singapore and Dubai, United Arab Emirates signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to promote closer cooperation in healthcare on 11 January 2007.
The MOU provides a comprehensive framework for greater collaboration between healthcare establishments in Singapore and Dubai. It enables both parties to:
Share each other's experience in healthcare activities;
Send healthcare professionals for training attachments in both countries;
Promote business opportunities in the healthcare sector
The MOU was signed by the Permanent Secretary for Health, Ms Yong
Ying-I, and her Dubai counterpart, the Director-General of the Department of Health and Medical Services (DOHMS) His Excellency Qadhi Saeed AlMurooshid. The MOU reflects the stronger bilateral ties between Singapore and Dubai.
H.E Qadhi Saeed AlMurooshid is here in Singapore with nine other officials from the DOHMS on a three-day visit, which includes visits to Singapore's major healthcare institutions.
