MINISTER FOR HEALTH AND COORDINATING MINISTER FOR SOCIAL POLICIES MR ONG YE KUNG TO ATTEND THE 31ST NIKKEI FORUM IN TOKYO, JAPAN

8 June 2026

1.      Mr Ong Ye Kung, Minister for Health and Coordinating Minister for Social Policies, will make a working visit to Tokyo, Japan, from 9 to 13 June 2026. He will be attending the 31st Nikkei Forum on the Future of Asia.

2.       The Nikkei Forum serves as a platform for government officials, international organisations, experts and business leaders to discuss key issues and promote the development of the region. The theme for this year's Nikkei Forum is "Working Together for a More Resilient and Prosperous Asia".

3.       Mr Ong will be delivering a speech at the Forum. During the trip, Mr Ong will meet his counterparts and visit local healthcare institutions in Japan. He will be accompanied by senior officials from the Ministry of Health.2.
