MINISTER FOR HEALTH MR ONG YE KUNG TO ATTEND GLOBAL HIGH-LEVEL MINISTERIAL CONFERENCE ON ANTIMICROBIAL RESISTANCE IN JEDDAH, KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIA

1.             Minister for Health Mr Ong Ye Kung will attend the Fourth Global High-Level Ministerial Conference on Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from 15 to 16 November 2024. 

2.             The Fourth Global High-Level Ministerial Conference on AMR will discuss concrete, collective actions to address the rising global health challenge of AMR. The Ministerial Conference is organised around four key themes of surveillance and stewardship, capacity development, access and affordability, and better global and national governance. 

3.             Mr Ong will deliver a keynote address at the Ministerial Conference and meet his counterparts during the visit. 

4.             Mr Ong will also make a working visit to Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from 16 to 17 November 2024. He will be accompanied by senior officials from the Ministry of Health.
