Question No. 1780
To ask the Coordinating Minister for Social Policies and Minister for Health (a) how many Community Intervention Team (COMIT) and Community Resource, Engagement and Support Team (CREST) teams have had their funding prematurely terminated in the past five years; (b) what were the main reasons for such terminations; and (c) what safeguards are in place to ensure continuity of care for affected patients and families.
Answer
In the past five years, one community mental health team was stood down as the provider decided to exit the programme. AIC worked with the provider to transfer its clients to other community mental health teams and kept their families informed.
