President’s Award for Nurses 2010(1)

Three exemplary and outstanding nurses will receive the President’s Award for Nurses at the Nurses Day Istana Reception on 29 July 2010. This yearly National Award for nurses will be given by President S R Nathan in recognition for their commitment, professionalism and dedication to excellent nursing care.
The three award winners this year are Ms Lim Suh Fen, Assistant Director of Nursing, National Heart Centre Singapore, Ms Low Mui Lang, Executive Director, The Salvation Army Peacehaven Nursing Home and Mr Nidu Shanmugam, Advanced Practice Nurse, Singapore General Hospital (the Annex has more information on the award winners).
The award winners will each receive a trophy, a certificate as well as $6,000 which can be used to attend conferences and training programme of their choice for professional and personal enrichment.
