Question No. 2074
To ask the Coordinating Minister for Social Policies and Minister for Health in view of rising healthcare and living costs, whether there are plans for the Ministry to review the Healthier SG Chronic Tier benefits such as through (i) revising the income eligibility criteria for the Community Health Assist Scheme (CHAS) and (ii) increasing the subsidy quantum for CHAS, Merdeka Generation, and Pioneer Generation cardholders.
Answer
1 The Healthier SG Chronic Tier was introduced in 2024, while the Community Health Assist Scheme (CHAS) was last reviewed in 2025, with enhancements to dental and vaccination subsidies.
2 The Ministry of Health reviews the policy parameters of Healthier SG Chronic Tier and CHAS from time to time. We will continue to monitor the overall affordability of primary care and review the schemes, where necessary.
