“Just as the polyclinic and township of Choa Chu Kang evolved over the last 10 years, the healthcare landscape of today is very different from before.” This as Health Minister shares at the opening of Chou Chu Kang Polyclinic on 20 Sep. Over the years, our polyclinics have been transformed into one-stop centres complete with diagnostic, treatment & support services, and training centres for future generations of Family Physicians. But polyclinics alone are not enough to meet the growing burden of chronic diseases. There is also a need for stronger partnership with GPs to meet the changing needs of an ageing population.
