Question No. 2653
To ask the Coordinating Minister for Social Policies and Minister for Health whether the Government will consider providing temporary financial support to caregivers of persons requiring substantial short-term care due to temporary disabilities or acute medical conditions but do not qualify for the Home Caregiving Grant.
Answer
Sir, persons requiring short-term care due to temporary disabilities or other medical conditions may be eligible for subsidised care under the enhanced Home Personal Care and the Interim Caregiver Service. This helps offset caregiving expenses while supporting both the care recipients’ recovery and their caregivers’ respite needs.
