MOH was notified on 16 May of another food poisoning incident involving 8 children from Learning Vision @ Raffles Place in Cecil Street. The incident took place earlier and the childcare centre was also supplied by Mum’s Kitchen Catering Pte Ltd whose operating licence had since been suspended.
Together with the cases at Pat’s Schoolhouse, and The Children’s Place at Kay Siang Road, a total of 235 children and 12 teachers have been affected in this incident.
Preliminary analysis of the data of the cases at Pat’s Schoolhouse, and The Children’s Place fitted our case definition of a food poisoning incident. Most of the cases have recovered. Of these, 34, including cases reported earlier, had been hospitalized and 14 have since been discharged. Investigations are ongoing and further updates will be given when available.
The implicated food caterer remains closed for business following the suspension of its licence by NEA on 12 May.
