To ask the Minister for Health whether the Ministry remains on track to deliver the integrated development comprising a polyclinic, dialysis centre and nursing home at Jalan Damai by 2024.
Written Answer
The proposed integrated development at Jalan Damai, comprising the new Kaki Bukit Polyclinic, kidney dialysis centre and nursing home was first announced in November 2019 to be completed by 2025.
However, we estimate that the completion will be delayed by one year to 2026. This is because additional time is needed to improve the design of the new polyclinic for better infection disease control. This will ensure that the new polyclinic can be future-proofed against new pandemics.
