To ask the Coordinating Minister for Social Policies and Minister for Health whether the Ministry can provide an update on when existing legislation will be strengthened to deal with vapes, including those with more harmful substances like etomidate.

Answer

The Ministry of Health is finalising its proposed legislative amendments and will table it in Parliament within the first half of 2026.
