National Population Health Survey (NPHS) 2025 Report
3 October 2026
The National Population Health Survey (NPHS), conducted annually by the Ministry of Health and Health Promotion Board, tracks Singapore residents' health, risk factors, and lifestyle practices.
NPHS 2025
This survey tracked the health, risk factors and lifestyle practices of Singapore residents aged 18 to 74 years from household interviews conducted from August 2024 to July 2025.
The NPHS 2025 highlights improvements in preventive health behaviours among Singapore residents following the launch of Healthier SG in 2023, with increased screening participation for chronic diseases, breast and colorectal cancer, and engagement in physical activity. The prevalence of daily smoking has remained stable amidst the long-term trend of declining smoking rates. While poor mental health1 remains most prevalent among younger adults aged 18 to 29 years, most Singapore residents remain willing to seek help from healthcare professionals and/or informal networks if they were unable to cope with stress.
The results highlight that our residents are adopting healthier lifestyles. MOH and HPB will continue efforts to support residents to live healthy lifestyles.

1 Poor mental health is defined by a score of 3 or more on the 12-item General Health Questionnaire, which suggests the presence of recent psychological distress. This does not, however, necessarily indicate the presence of a mental disorder.
