What is CHAS?
The Community Health Assist Scheme (CHAS) enables all Singapore Citizens (SCs), including Pioneer Generation (PG) and Merdeka Generation (MG) cardholders, to receive subsidies for preventive, medical and/or dental care at participating General Practitioner (GP) and dental clinics.

Eligible Singapore Citizens with CHAS/PG/MG cards enrolled under Healthier SG can receive enhanced subsidies under the Healthier SG Chronic Tier at their enrolled Healthier SG GP clinics. Please visit Healthier SG for more information.
CHAS Dental Subsidies
From 1 October 2025, CHAS subsidies for ten preventive dental procedures (such as scaling and polishing) will be extended to CHAS Orange cardholders.
Subsidy limits will also be raised for seven restorative dental procedures (such as root canal treatment) for Pioneer Generation (PG), Merdeka Generation (MG), CHAS Blue and CHAS Orange cardholders.
MOH has also published fee benchmarks for the CHAS dental procedures which will serve as a price reference for routine and typical cases performed in CHAS dental clinics. For more information on the fee benchmarks, please refer to Guide to Dental Treatment Costs.

Healthier SG vaccinations (nationally-recommended vaccinations) Please see Healthier SG Vaccinations for more details. | Eligible Singapore Citizens (SCs) can receive subsidies for nationally recommended vaccinations at CHAS GP clinics. Eligible SCs who are enrolled in Healthier SG can enjoy special subsidies for Healthier SG vaccinations (nationally-recommended vaccinations) at their enrolled Healthier SG clinic. The only exception is Recombinant Herpes Zoster Vaccine (RHZV; known as Shingles Vaccine), where the payment amount remains capped. | ||||

Subsidised referrals to Specialist Outpatient Clinics (SOCs)
As a CHAS, Merdeka Generation (MG) and Pioneer Generation (PG) cardholder, you can also enjoy subsidised referrals from CHAS GPs to SOCs at Public Hospitals, National University Centre for Oral Health, Singapore (NUCOHS), and National Dental Centre when required.
Who is eligible?
All SCs, regardless of income, are eligible for CHAS. The CHAS benefits will be tiered according to household monthly income or Annual Value (AV) of home, as indicated in the below table:

Effective as of 1 Jan 2025 2 Annual Value is the estimated gross annual rent of a property if it were to be rented out, excluding furnishings and maintenance fees. It is determined by IRAS, and may be checked via mytax.iras.gov.sg. Subsidy levels in 2025 will be determined using 2024 Annual Values. Existing CHAS cardholders who are eligible for a CHAS card with higher subsidies as a result of the revision of AV thresholds from 1 Jan 2025 and with no changes to household details will be automatically issued with new CHAS cards. New cards will be progressively issued in the weeks ahead after 1 Jan 2025. | |||
